Climate Trunk is made by a human in Illustrator.
AI does not design the visuals. The concepts, research, editorial judgements and visual design are all mine. Any mistakes are also mine. Sources are always checked against actual evidence.
Climate Trunk is a one-person project. AI plays the role of editorial sparring partner, particularly when I need another pair of eyes at midnight before a release.
I use AI to organise data, critique early ideas, give feedback on the hierarchy of content and test whether explanations are too long-winded for a time-poor audience. It's an 'enthusiastic but average intern', as Michael Liebreich once said. It was, however, much better than average when I built this site in Webflow. I owe it for tutoring me through that one.
In short, AI helps me critique and polish Climate Trunk content. But it doesn't make Climate Trunk.
